GLAMSTAR OF THE WEEK

Hey glamstars, this post is also delayed due to some circumstances. We do glamstar of the week on Sundays. But anyway, here we are, this is glamstar of the week for the previous Sunday. Basically, our glamstar of the week is that one person who maintained fabulousity through out the week and showcased it to us. Yes we love fabulous people and it definitely does not have to be celebrities.

Soooo, our glamstar of the week for last week is none other that one of my buddies, Teejay.

This hottie is so fabulous and stylish in a very simple way. His style is a bit smart casual and urban. Very unique i tell ya. This week he stayed fabulous throughout and when i saw the pics he posted i was like; that should be our glamstar of the week.

Isnt he hot mara? So simple and unique, i bet he can rock a plastic bag and still look hot. His body makes it even worse *hides*. The demin shirt are the in thing now and only a few can rock them fabulously. And yes, Teejay is one of them.

Need i say more? I don't think so, this dude is hot. He sticks to nude colors and always stays on the fashion rail. He knows what to wear with what. We need more guys like him. The bow tie swag stays winning as well, throwing a cardigan on in is a cherry on top; whats a cake without a cherry though?

Hello hottie :) I love this look. He didn't try too hard to look good but he definitely does. I'm sure by now we all know what his favorite color is, don't we? And those Gucci shades, too gorgeous. We are so proud to say this guy is our glamstar of the week, he kills fabric and makes it look so easy. Keep it up. We love you for being fabulous and hot, makes you walk in confidence.

We love peplum

Helohaa glamstars. This is our second "we love glam" post. This is time we are looking at another fashion trend; peplum. Peplum refers to a short over skirt or ruffle attached around the waistline. Designers like Louis Vuitton, have brought this trend this year after 30 years. The reason why peplum has become a popular raging trend in 2012 is because designers have shown a range of peplums with minimum ruffles and plain colors which accentuates any hourglass figure and also gives the image of modern sophisticated sexy silhouette. So, lets go ahead and look at how to wear peplum and check out some of the peplum jackets, skirts and dresses.

I love peplum beacuse its a figure hugging typer thing. Peplum is basically the clever little frill that extends from your waist to hips (or just above) is supposed to do just that, and can be, very possibly, the most flattering new addition to any woman's closet.Peplum celebrates a waist-to-hip curve allowing you to easily move around, and the wide variety of peplum styles out there can mean that anyone can wear this fun, jolly, and flattering look.

This trend is elegant and chic. You can go super glamorous with either a peplum dress, top or skirt. One important rule about peplum is to be careful with what you wear it with; if its a peplum top, what you wear on the bottom must be streamline and a bit tight. its a skirt it must be a pencil skirt and if its pants, skinnies go blend well with a peplum top. In a case of a peplum skirt, let us stick to a simple tight top, you dont wanna conflict with the peplum frill on the skirt. The point here is to showcase the frilll without any distractions.

Kim Kadarshian is one of the biggest lovers of peplum. Hey, it looks sizzling hot on her.

Sheb rocked this green peplum dress on the night of her birthday to celebrate with his lover Kanye. She looked so simple with very less accessories because the frill itself its an accessory. Isn't she gorgeous. pheew

Hmmm, "who stole my look?" vibes. Kim Kadarsh and our proud SA born and bred Hollywood movie star; Charlize Theron rocked the same peplum dress and lawrd they both looked ravishing. Kim went simple with red Christian Louboutin courts and Charlez wore simple diamond shoes. They both went very less on accesories, and they stayed winning.

Again, Tumi Voster looking gorgeous in a peplum red carpet dress at the Durban July 2012. I bet we can all see now that wearing a peplum item need not to be mixed with tons of accesories. She was very simple.

So girls, peplum should be your next best friend, from skinny to chubby, it will look good on you and give you loads of confidence.

We love Neon

             

Heloha glamstars, this post is delayed, it was supposed to be here on Saturday but hey, its here now. So our Saturday theme is "we love glam", that is anything glamorous. So this week we loving the current fashion trend; NEON.

Neon in a nutshell is a colorful way of looking fabulous. Its a range of various bright colors from green to orange. Its important to know what to wear with a neon item because it is very loud and you sure don't want make fashion noise. Its rather advisable to go less on neon items, for instance you can rock one or two neon items which belongs to one color family. After all, its not color blocking.

what I love about this trend is that we have a choice among different colors and items. It all depends on how creative you and the extend to which you wanna look elegant. This trend is a perfect fit for this spring because it symbolizes liveliness and confidence.

             

For the color cautious, its advisable to go easy on neon by rocking only neon accessories and blend it in with a clothing item that is dark or nude. In that way, u wont look too colorful like a clown. For example, you can rock neon shoes and jewellery with a dark color dress just like our yfm presenter Tumi Voster did at the annual GQ Men awards.

She looked elegant in a black dress and went neon on stilettos and neck piece which are the main attractions on her outfit. We love it.
So girls, lets get confident and look glamorous in Neon.
