Glam 101 make-up tips
So my favourire make up brands is MAC and Maybelline :)
Eyes
Consider the colour of your skin before you put colours on your eyes.. Nude eye shadows such as gold and brown are good for a simple day look.. Use a designated eye shadow brush to put your shadows, then use a gel or liquid liner on your lids for a smoky look. You can also use a white liner to make your eyes look bigger. Avoid an extreme smoky eye on a day look. For a good smoky eye, start with a nude light shadow and then follow with a darker one blending them well together, then use a black shadow on the outter sides of your lids and blend with the other shadows. Then it's time to use the black eye liner and smudge it using a small shadow brush.. Finish the eye look with a volume enhancing mascara. I'd recommend Maybelline Colossal mascara. Avon super shock is also good for lengthening your lashes..
Eyebrows
Please don't shave off all your brows and draw them all over again with a pencil; that will get you arrested by the fashion police. Trim them nicely at the ends to give them a nice shape then use a dry eyebrow pencil to add a bit of thickness to your own eyebrows. Don't over do it, the aim is to darken and shape the brows, they have to look real. the inner side must be bigger and grows small as it moves to tr outter side..
Lips
This is easy, just look at your skin before you put colours on your lips. Do not put a very bright lipstick when you have a smokey eye. You will look too dramatic.. The brighter the lips the lighter your eyes should be and vice versa. The new trending new lip colours are different pinks and purplish. MAC has all the nice colours such as Saint germain, pink neaveau, candy yum yum, ruby woo, Russian red, etc. currentlymy favorites are heroine, rebel and up the amp.. They go well with any skin colour
Foundation
For a radiant face I'd recommend a cream matte mousse, the one from Maybelline is the best, Yardley also has it. It's good for a day look and gives you a matte finish. Use a soft sponge to apply focus more on the cheeks, forehead and nose. Make sure you use a good cream on your face before you put foundation. Your face needs to be moist and semi-oily. A liquid foundation is good for a night look and I love the Studio fix foundation from MAC, it's about R350. Apply it with a fluffy brush to avoid a muddy look on your skin. On all the foundations you can finish with a good powder to keep your face dry and gorgeous. For a night look you can also add highlighter or bronzer from MAC. They give your face a good glow and tan. For ladies with oily faces, studio fix foundations and powder are good to go, stay away from mineralize foundations as they give a glowing finish to your skin. Other products such as concealer are also good to hide dark marks especially under the eye.
Avoid bright coloured blushes if your are too dark or use only a little.
That's brief but I hope it will help, any questions you welcome to comment and ask
Thanks cheers
